Tampico had the same look for many years, and when the FDA proposed new labeling requirements in 2017, we took the opportunity to refresh our look at the same time. We updated hundreds of labels, refreshed our website and created new marketing materials for our sales team.
With licensees in over 50 countries worldwide, Tampico has a huge portfolio of products, all of which needed to be updated with our new brand look. I helped refresh packaging in a wide variety of sizes and flavors, created new sales aids, and adapt social media and advertising campaigns to different locales and languages.
Tampico partnered with DreamWorks Studios on a team effort promoting their movie Captain Underpants and our Tampico gallons. We created limited edition Captain Underpants labels, in-store promotional materials, and digital content. Through this colorful advertising, we let our consumers know that they’re never too old for friendship, laughs, and a glass of Tampico.
The Tampico Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that supports families and children in need. One of the ways the organization raises funds is by organizing fundraiser Galas. I was part of a core team that created the look, signage, and all other print and digital items for these events, and I also helped execute on the day-of.
Other projects created for Tampico, including flavor-specific campaigns and print collateral for Tampico Iced Tea.
Calvary Academy is an elementary school in my community, and I was happy to help them with a logo update. I was asked to keep much of the look of the logo, and to simplify and modernize the look while also adding a tough of yellow to their color scheme.
I was also asked to update the look of their school mascot, the wolverine. I simplified the image to include just the face, added features, and gave it a bit more personality. The update reflects the fierce contenders that their sports teams are.
Indiana University’s Computer Information Systems department wanted to create excitement around it’s degree program, so I created this series of posters to inform students of the variety of benefits a career in CIS has to offer.
